Topic: Hydrodemolition Technology and Latex Modified Concrete Overlays for Bridges

Abstract:  Current practices and applications 

Presenter: Patrick (Pat) Martens, P.E.

Presenter Bio: Patrick Martens is a registered professional engineer in the state of Missouri. He graduated from The University of Missouri – Rolla (now Missouri Science and Technology).  He worked for over 30 years with the Missouri Department of Transportation, in areas of bridge construction, bridge inspection and bridge maintenance, and enjoyed working on preservation programming while spending 16 years as the Bridge Engineer for the St. Louis District.  For the last 11 years he has been working as an independent consultant, for Bridge Preservation and Inspection Services, in Jefferson City, Missouri, with his primary focus on promoting bridge deck preservation treatments through the implementation of hydrodemolition technology and installation of Latex Modified Concrete overlays.  He has provided education and training on the process and products to DOTs, consultants and contractors in over 40 states.
