Todd is a structural engineer with Needham-DBS in Lenexa, KS. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and Master of Civil Engineering degrees from the University of Kansas. His 25 years of professional experience has varied widely across the building industry, including retail, industrial, office buildings, hospitals, aircraft hangars, warehouses, power plants, and sports facilities. In addition to being the current President of SEAKM, he is also a member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) Students and Educators Mola Model Initiative and Wind Engineering Sub-Committees.
David is a Project Structural Engineer at Professional Engineering Consultants in Wichita, KS. He was born and raised in Wichita. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science, Architectural Engineering, in 2004. Structural responsibilities include the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures. He specializes in structural assessments, structural modifications for building upgrades, design of industrial and public works facilities and material handling equipment.
David is a professional engineer licensed in Kansas and Missouri. Dave has practiced structural engineering for over thirty years on mostly commercial and industrial projects. He has experience working with all of the common building materials and design codes. Dave graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He has served the SEAKM Bi-state board as Treasurer for the past three years. Dave also served the Kansas City chapter as President and Director.
Desiree is a Principle Engineer and President at Dudley Williams and Associates in Wichita,
Kansas. During nearly three decades with the firm, she has gained experience in all phases of structural engineering for many types of building systems and materials, ranging from design of new construction to assessment of existing buildings. Desiree graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in
Architectural Engineering. This is her second term as a SEAKM Director, and she has previously served as the SEAKM President and Wichita Chapter Secretary-Treasurer.
Nehal is a licensed professional engineer for the states of Oklahoma and Missouri who has practiced structural engineering for over 10 years designing concrete and steel structures for the petrochemical industry prior to joining Simpson Strong-Tie. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. His interest and focus is primarily in the area of concrete rehabilitation as several structures within the petrochemical industry have needed repair prior to allowing new equipment to be attached to an existing foundation. Nehal has served as Treasurer of SEAKM’s Kansas City Chapter for his first year and Vice President for his second year prior to being elected to President-Elect of the Bi-State Board.
Jason graduated from Kansas State University with a combined BS and MS degrees in Architectural Engineering. Most of his experience as a structural engineer is in commercial building design with emphasis on educational buildings preparing structural calculations and design documents. He spent a couple years working as a timberframe design engineer where
he gained an immense appreciation for the exposed beauty of wood as a structural material.
He also spent 2-1⁄2 years in residential construction and remodeling. His favorite part of his
career is working in teams and collaborating with others on projects that leave a lasting positive
impact on the community.
Alan retired in 2020 after more than 40 years with Black & Veatch.
He is still active on several ACI committees, as well as the General Requirements subcommittee of NCSEA. Alan serves as the SEAKM representative on the Building Seismic Safety Council (BSSC), authors of the National Earthquake Hazard Reduction Program (NEHRP) Provisions and Commentary. He has been a member of SEAKM since 2001.
