David is a Project Structural Engineer at Professional Engineering Consultants in Wichita, KS. He was born and raised in Wichita. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science, Architectural Engineering, in 2004. Structural responsibilities include the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures. He specializes in structural assessments, structural modifications for building upgrades, design of industrial and public works facilities and material handling equipment.
Bill is an associate professor in the GE Johnson Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science at Kansas State University, teaching building structural design courses. He received his Ph.D. from Lehigh University, and worked as a structural engineer with SOM and KlingStubbins prior to his academic career. His research interests include seismic design and multi-hazard mitigation, steel and composite structures, cold-formed steel structures, mass timber construction, and structural vibration control and mitigation.
Todd is a structural engineer with Needham-DBS in Lenexa, KS. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and Master of Civil Engineering degrees from the University of Kansas. His 25 years of professional experience has varied widely across the building industry, including retail, industrial, office buildings, hospitals, aircraft hangars, warehouses, power plants, and sports facilities. In addition to being a past President of SEAKM, he is also a member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) Students and Educators Mola Model Initiative and Wind Engineering Sub-Committees.
Aaron is a Structural Engineer at MKEC in Wichita, KS. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Architectural Engineering in 2016. He recently received his engineering licensure and is currently licensed in KS, NE, CO, OK and MO. His primary area of expertise is heavy steel structures but has experience with a wide range of structural materials and building types.
Jason is a regional director (KS, MO, OK, and AR) for Woodworks – Wood Products Council. Jason has more than 20 years of experience as a structural engineer and a passion for sustainable building. He has a breadth of expertise in preparing structural calculations and design documents for educational projects, along with residential construction and remodeling experience. As a timber-frame designer early in his career, Jason gained an immense appreciation for the beauty and resilience of wood as a structural material. Always a creative problem solver and enthusiastic collaborator, he has worked with multidisciplinary teams throughout his career to move impactful projects forward. Jason holds combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University.
Nehal is a licensed professional engineer for the states of Oklahoma and Missouri who has practiced structural engineering for over 10 years designing concrete and steel structures for the petrochemical industry prior to joining Simpson Strong-Tie. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. His interest and focus is primarily in the area of concrete rehabilitation as several structures within the petrochemical industry have needed repair prior to allowing new equipment to be attached to an existing foundation. Nehal has served as treasurer and vice president of the Kansas City chapter as well as president-elect and president of the bi-state board.
