Bill is an associate professor in the GE Johnson Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science at Kansas State University, teaching building structural design courses. He received his Ph.D. from Lehigh University, and worked as a structural engineer with SOM and KlingStubbins prior to his academic career. His research interests include seismic design and multi-hazard mitigation, steel and composite structures, cold-formed steel structures, mass timber construction, and structural vibration control and mitigation.
Todd is a structural engineer with Needham-DBS in Lenexa, KS. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and Master of Civil Engineering degrees from the University of Kansas. His 25 years of professional experience has varied widely across the building industry, including retail, industrial, office buildings, hospitals, aircraft hangars, warehouses, power plants, and sports facilities. In addition to being a past President of SEAKM, he is also a member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) Students and Educators Mola Model Initiative and Wind Engineering Sub-Committees.
David is a Project Structural Engineer at Professional Engineering Consultants in Wichita, KS. He was born and raised in Wichita. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science, Architectural Engineering, in 2004. Structural responsibilities include the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures. He specializes in structural assessments, structural modifications for building upgrades, design of industrial and public works facilities and material handling equipment.
Phil is a structural engineer at Structural Support Services, providing structural consulting services for a variety of firms in the Kansas City area. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Kansas. His 20+ years of professional experience includes a wide variety of project types and materials including industrial, retail, commercial and residential, concrete, steel, masonry, timber and cold-formed steel. He also has extensive experience with construction engineering designs including excavation shoring, formwork and falsework design, as well as lifting and bracing design for precast concrete and structural steel structures.
Jason is a regional director (KS, MO, OK, and AR) for Woodworks – Wood Products Council. Jason has more than 20 years of experience as a structural engineer and a passion for sustainable building. He has a breadth of expertise in preparing structural calculations and design documents for educational projects, along with residential construction and remodeling experience. As a timber-frame designer early in his career, Jason gained an immense appreciation for the beauty and resilience of wood as a structural material. Always a creative problem solver and enthusiastic collaborator, he has worked with multidisciplinary teams throughout his career to move impactful projects forward. Jason holds combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University.
